Black Barn Case Study - A Thatched Barn Restoration in Scotland.

Approx 18 Pages. Text and images.

Black Barn is a small heather-thatched cruck-framed building dating from
the early 18th century. It is a rare survivor of a once widespread vernacular
building type in the north of England. Grade II* listed, it still has the
historically significant original heather thatch as well as the primary timbers
of the cruck roof construction. {blue}
